Love is the essence of God and God never fails. “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love-not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” (1 John 4:9-10)
“Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.”(1 John 4:18) Our response to this verse is an example of how we live life. Do we live our life from a position of fear or love? Remember, “there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”(Romans 8:1) The response to this verse is the measuring stick for what our belief system is. The solution to living in the freedom Christ purchased for us doesn’t change. When we are saturated with the good news of Jesus. Our heart gets filled with God’s unconditional love and this produces a life without fear. Opening our hearts to all of His love can be difficult if we believe that we have to earn His love, or freeing when we realize that “we are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.” (Romans 3:22) The more we realize this truth, the easier it is to mediate and enter into praise and thanksgiving from pure gratitude that “there is no judgment against anyone who believes in Jesus” (John 3:18). His Love will manifest in our heart and His Love is the only Love that can change the internal response of our heart. This is the incredibly good news!
Living in a works based society and trying to rest in our identity, at times, may seem like we are not moving forward. “So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. So let us do our best to enter that rest. But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.”(Hebrews 4:9-11) The people of Israel disobeyed by not believing. Today we are able to rest because of our belief in the finished work of Jesus! Hallelujah, Jesus has redeemed all that believe! Since He has redeemed and justified us, all we have to do is receive this free gift. The biggest challenge is actually seeing ourselves dwelling in the fullness of Love. Filling our hearts with the the truth of who we are in Christ pushes out fear. Living in Love and Fear at the same time is not possible. They are opposites. Love produces peace and joy, fear produces doubt, anxiety, stress and worry.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”(John 1:1-5) Before Adam and Eve ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil everything was good. Being sin conscience was not an issue. They were not victims of identity theft at that point.“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”(Genesis 1:27) Since we are all created in his image, He gives us the ability to see ourselves the way He sees us. Through the finished work of Jesus we now have rest for our soul. In fact we once again can feed fully from the tree of Life! “Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! (Genesis 1:31) He saw that all he made, male and female were good. Any teaching that says anything other than that, is feeding from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and will only produce death and cause the same identity crisis that Adam and Eve suffered with. Jesus came to set us free and God wants all of “His perfect masterpiece” (Ephesians 2:10) back in the family.
“There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus. And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.” (Galatians 3:28-29) Why? Because “God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) You are loved because He loves you. You may think you need to do this or that to be pleasing to God, but God sees you perfect just the way you are. Sickness or struggle are no match for your Father’s love for you!
Thank you Lord for your unwavering love. Thank you for filling my heart with how much you love me and want to bless me. Thank you Lord for success in every area of my life. Thank you Father for blessing me with divine health and supernatural provision. In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen, amen, amen.
Blessings in peace and joy:
