God is not mad at you!

One of the great myths is that Jesus took your punishment on the Cross. Jesus didn’t come into the world to take our beating for us. Jesus came to save us, to bring us back to thee Royal Family. Jesus is not shielding us from Gods wrath! “God is Love.” (1 John 4:8) and “Love keeps no record of being wronged.” (1 Corinthians 13:5)

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:16-18) God didn’t send Jesus into the world to judge us but to save us and God is not mad at you! He isn’t upset if you are divorced or getting a divorce, you are gay or lesbian, have had an abortion, are having or have had premarital sex, struggle with addictions, or committed a felony! Now, you may have been taught that your actions or some high level sin will get you kicked out of God’s family. That is mans wisdom and the influence of the same serpent who mislead Adam and Eve in the Garden.  Jesus took away that nonsense . We don’t need to worry about getting kicked out of God’s family. Have no fear, Jesus came to set us free from the idea that we are not doing good enough to please or serve God. No matter who you are or what you do, God’s love for your doesn’t waver, His love stands strong , you are His son/daughter in whom He is always well pleased.

Recently I heard that God is just like us. As parents sometimes we are disappointed or mad at our kids, but we still love them. That sounds great to our flesh,  but it is not true. “God see’s us as perfect.” (Hebrews 10:14) and doesn’t get mad at anything we do. God wants us to know that we are loved without conditions. His love is not based on worldly knowledge and is truly better than anything we could ever think or imagine.

We are not slaves, servants, or employees. We are sons/daughters of the Most High. We are thee brides of Christ and He will never divorce us because “Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13:8)  We are the permanent residence of the Holy Spirit! Man wants you to straighten up, and act better, but God just wants you to know you are loved!

“God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love-not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” (1 John 4:9-10) Notice that He loved us so much that He sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins, not to take our punishement for our sins. The reason is refreshing because Jesus came as the final sacrifice for the Mosiac Law to bring us into the New Covenant. Also sin is not an action, but a belief that we have fallen short of Gods glory. Jesus was the lamb of God who came to take away the belief that we need to do something to be more pleasing to God! Jesus is our husband and we are his bride.

“I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings.”(Hosea 6:6) Our actions of trying to please God, or serve God are sacrifices to Him still today. I love this verse because it shows the desire of His heart. He wants us to show love. We do that by experiencing His love and relationship through our heart. The beautiful thing is He already knows us perfectly, we sacrifice that beautiful reality by putting ourselves under a works based system of do’s and don’ts or by judging someone’s situation to make ourselves look more acceptable to God. The reality is God’s Love proved us all worthy. No one person is any less loved than the next. That is refreshing. Jesus didn’t come as an example to us, knowing that we would never be able to mimic Him. He came as the example of us, to show us exactly who we are mirrored in His likeness. God created all of us in His likeness and image. “Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God-truly righteous and holy.” (Ephesians 4:23-24)

The more we rest in the identity that we have always been loved perfectly, the more the blurred image of who we think we are will fade and His glory will manifest brighter and brighter. We are Co-seated with Christ. It’s not about our faith in God, it’s about His faith in us that gives our life meaning and depth. If it’s about our faith then we will never have enough. By changing the way we see ourselves we begin to see how much faith he had in all of us! He wants the idea of sin consciousness to no longer be in our vision and for Son consciousness to be in everything we see. You are so worthy, God loves you so much that nothing will ever seperate Him from you. The shame you may carry or the guilt that has been blurring your vision has been washed away by the blood of Jesus and you are a new creation because He is alive in you. You don’t have to go to church, chase faith healers and give up all you have in order to get a touch from God. He touched you from the foundation of the world and you were saved 2000 years ago. You are perfect! God was never mad, in fact he loved Adam and Eve so much that he knew the torment they would face if He continued to tell them of there perfection and all they saw was there imperfections. Jesus cleansed our conscience and now we can see ourselves the way we were created. “Do not allow current religious tradition to mold you into its pattern of reasoning. Like and inspired artist, give attention to the detail of God’s desire to find expression in you. Become acquainted with perfection. To accommodate yourself to the delight and good pleasure of Him will transform your thoughts afresh from within.”(Romans 12:2)

“Do not underestimate God’s kindness. The wealth of His benevolence and His resolute refusal to let go of us is because He continues to hear the echo of His likeliness in us. Thus His patient passion is to Shepard everyone into a radical mind shift.”(Romans 2:4) For us to think that God has ever been or ever could be mad at us, is to call Him a liar. His heartbeat is our heartbeat, once we see ourselves saved His heartbeat echoes within each of us as the most precise act of unity and communion anyone could ever experience. Religion will make you work hard for something you have had all along. But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.”(2 Corinthians 11:3-4) Religion keeps you bound by invisible shackles in your mind. Relationship has given you His heartbeat and His breath in everything you do. If you hear something that doesn’t echo freedom within you then it is not the gospel.

Father we thank you that you never were nor ever will be mad at us. Since the beginning of time we have always been your masterpiece. Jesus is who we see when we see ourselves and His life is our life! We praise you as Father.  We thank you for redeeming our innocence with Christs resurrection life.

Love and Blessings,

Kurt and Katy
